What is the
GameRunner?
The GameRunner is a new game controller which allows you to stroll, walk, jog, or
sprint through any computer-generated 3D world, game or online 3D virtual
world. In order to move your “virtual-self” through the virtual-world, you
stroll, walk or run on the GameRunner, while you steer with the
handlebars. The triggers and buttons are thumb and finger accessible and they
can be mapped within your own games to whatever preferences you like. It’s all
digital signal output, so there’s no mushy analogue feel. With the GameRunner,
your movements are sharp as they are accurately mimicked with crisp, real-time
accuracy. All the other function buttons are thumb and forefinger accessible,
including fire, jump, choose, crouch, left/right strafe, and up/down. The
GameRunner covers all axis of movement in a 3D digital world.
Compatibility:
The GameRunner is supported by nearly every FPS game title ever made. It’s ideal
for getting around in any computer generated 3D world. There are more function
buttons on the GameRunner than the latest games require. This gives the player
plenty of great button mapping options.
The GameRunner is compatible with any first-person PC game or online game. It is
also compatible with any FP game that recognizes mouse/keyboard signal for
control, whether Xbox, PlayStation or other. Please see out use
manual for more information.
Multi Player Connectivity: It depends upon whether the game itself allows for
multi-player. If so, then the GameRunner will work in a multi user environment.
The GameRunner is a game controller, so it works in any multi-player scenario
which is provided for by the software and gaming system you're using, according
to configuration allowed for within it.
The GameRunner does not expand/alter the
software capabilities of the game you are playing, and it
does not limit it either.

Body weight Limit:
Our prototypes have been through an extensive testing period. We have had athletes using the prototypes with body weight up to 400 lbs without any problems. Therefore the recommended weight limit is up to 350lbs.
USB
Direct Plug:
The GameRunner plugs directly into to any USB port on any PC, Mac, laptop, notebook,
or other device. Once you plug the GameRunner in you can immediately start walking
around in any 3D computer world. It’s truly plug-and-play.
Since the major movements required are intuitive, there’s almost no learning curve on the GameRunner. In fact with the GameRunner, the learning curve is much shorter than for playing with a joystick or a keyboard/mouse. Even those who’ve never played any FPS games before, find they learn their way around quickly on the GameRunner. Even hard-core gamers find the GameRunner’s all digital accuracy to be unparalleled.
Running,
Walking, and Fitness Levels:
Most games are strategy, so sometimes you’re sprinting, and sometimes you’re
just sneaking around. Your legs make the motion, and that’s what happens in the
game. It’s up to you how fast you want to get around. The GameRunner also allows
for various ratio settings, so just about any fitness level can be accommodated,
just in case you aren’t ready to run the whole time when you first get your
GameRunner. If you prefer, you can set it so that walking will suffice for all
of your games. As you feel able, you can easily adjust the settings so that
you’re running more to get through the games at the speeds you like.
Strafe:
The back and strafe buttons allow you to effectively direct your walking
motion. So if you are moving and press a strafe button, you will be strafing
instead of moving forward. It’s simple.
Power:
The GameRunner gets all “juice” the same way a mouse/keyboard does, directly
from the computer’s USB port. The GameRunner requires no other power source,
since the treadmill is user-propelled.
